2013-06-16 - Floor trial

One of the things I learnt from building my Sammio Spyder last year was that I wanted to have lowered floorpans in this one to make the seating position a little lower. Whilst not a major issue, I felt that it would look a little neater if the seats were sunk down a bit.

Mike from Miglia Sportscars supplies lowered pans and so I took one away to see how it would look and to trial fit my seats. Mike has maximised the room in the pans but it still wasn't quite wide enough for my Landrover seats. I will have to make the seat squabs a little narrower (only about 10-20mm). Never mind a job for a wet day!

As you can see, I intend to have the seats fixed as I did in my Sammio Spyder, and I reckon with a small amount of adjustment they will fit nicely!
